Commission: Mera's Hooked

Another awesome commission from another awesome person! Mera, the queen of Atlantis, seems to have caught herself a very lucky lad. Or, perhaps is it the other way around...?

I loved drawing a great pair of floating breasts! I thought it was pretty fun as I certainly don't do that often. And it was also fun to play with the colors here; the participants being underwater made things interesting. Speaking of colors, you'll find an alternate version of the piece just below. The only difference is there's an extra slight shade of blue to give more of the effect they're underwater.

  1. Great Work once again! Atleast this Shota doesn't have to deal with the Mermaid Ordeal, plus no marine life of any kind near by so Aquaman will never know. :D The light looks great for the underwater feel.

    1. Thanks! I'm guessing the "Mermaid ordeal" is the fact that their lower half is, how can I put this? Unassailable. XD

    2. Yup! Oh! By the way, by any chance have you played Kid Icarus: Uprising? I just finished it and well...talk about Straight Shota moments that can be possible and a Goddesses that would actually fit those roles.

    3. I've been dying to play that game! I've heard so many great things about it. But I don't currently own a 3DS, I've been waiting for it to drop down in price. I know it's probably at it's lowest now (I think it's around $180 on amazon new and about $130 used?) but it's not yet low enough considering the library of games it has so far.

Still, I might just cave in and buy one anyone since the best game of the century will be coming out for it, Animal crossing!

So in your opinion, how was the story, gameplay, graphics, etc?

    4. Damn great on the difficulty curve which I loved for both casual and core gamers.
Soundtrack is awesome, especially when you hear the 8-bit versions in it at times which gave a lovely hint of retro feel toward fighting the bosses from the NES Kid Icarus re-imagined and certain enemies.
Breaking the 4th wall on so many occasions that leave me laughing and plot twists at times that really did a number with for adding the new characters(few which you would love to draw maybe :P), the weaponry itself and expansion of the Kid Icarus world.
But what I love the most was Pit and Palutena's relationship is which I bet you would love the most, the one thing I wished more, if I could have heard it all in Jap but doesn't have the audio track. XD
Overall it was indeed a great game with refreshing gameplay and even if you are done, there are reasons to go back for more extras. Definitely worth picking up for a 3DS.

P.S. I would loan you my 3DS and Kid Icarus since there are 3 separate save files if you are in the South CA area. If you do get your own 3DS...would you be interested in Monster Hunter 4? :P

    5. I hear that you can change the difficulty level before the start of each chapter/level, which is good to know. I remember playing the NES game and it was unforgiving (I probably just bad at it XD)

I can't wait to check out some of the characters in the game. Even the main villain Medusa is sexy in my opinion. But of course it would be a sin not to do something with Pit and Palutena. I look forward to see how they're relationship plays out.

Thanks for offering to loan your game to me but I plan to definitely buy this game later on. And Monster Hunter is an RPG, right? To be honest I don't know much (if at all) about the series. I haven't played a RPG since FFX-2 *shudders*.

Thanks anyway, that was really kind of you!

    6. When you get the game, I look forward to your next art and embrace for the flood of Pit pics or comic. :D Also
Monster Hunter isn't a RPG, it's a action/adventure game where you hunt these monsters in different locations.
The method of advancing in the game is when you defeat or capture these monsters is that you get their specific parts to create new weapons and armor and keeps doing that as you progress.
It's satisfying when you take one down on your own or join with friends to take down Epic creatures together.

P.S. I have a huge list of RPGs to beat, still have Persona 3, FES, 4, and SMT: Nocturne, DDS, and Kaizou...hell even FFXII! College can really backlog you. XD

    7. I know how you feel Anonymous. I also have a bunch of games that I've yet to complete thanks to college.

    8. monster hunter is definitely in a league of it's own. it's an action game in the vein of devil may cry, ninja gaiden, and bayonetta where in which you fight monsters and forage for items you can use to keep yourself healthy and fight more monsters.
but it's also like a strategy game or a role playing game in that there's a lot of resource management and character building through getting materials and using them to make better armor and weapons.
the satisfaction of the game comes with conquering the many monsters you're given to fight; most of which are outrageously hard to beat, with hard hitting attacks, quick speeds, bites, claws, tail swipes, and more. you could spend hours continuously losing at a monster, but when you eventually understand how they fight, and how you can get around them, beating them becomes so satisfying.
anyway, i adore the picture. Aqua Man scored himself a hottie for a queen.

  2. Mera is always a nice treat, especially sense 34 of her is kinda rare! lol I love both versions of the colors, but the idea of making them appear underwater with the color effect was very clever! Bravo, Glassfish!

    1. Thank you! I really like Mera so this was a real treat! In most versions she comes off very strong and sexy, especially in the recent Aquaman comic. It's a shame there's not much rule34 art of her.
